Day 1

Good Evening Everyone,

We all had a great first working day here and are reunited with with Anna and Kerrie. Today we started our day @ 6:00 am and had breakfast and a time of devotions. Then we headed to where the villages which were located on the mountain next too us. The village had some chickens, dogs, rabbits, but we were told not to touch them. The journey was about an hour away but in actuality it was only a mile away. It was covered with many sad and beautiful sights. We we made good progress on the five houses today. We made the metal frame and mounted it in to a cement slab. The metal frame made up a 10 x 12 foot house. We were then able to drywall and put up cement wall on the outside of the house. We were also able to put up the awning off the front of the house and install a door on the front and a window off the back of the house. Some of us got quite white from the drywall mud and sanding. We are now back at base and were all greeted by Kerrie and Anna, after a long night of trying to find her passport PRAISE GOD it was found and they arrived safely in Chimaltenango today. Tonight some of us sorted through the supplies we brought down to give away, while others went downstairs to hangout with the kids in the orphanage. Tonight for dinner was Rice, Chicken, potatoes, Lynsey’s favorite, homemade corn tortilla shells, and some brownies. Up next will be devotions and bed time.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support for us this week and before this trip. We appreciate all of you. Please pray for our day tomorrow as we are going to the village tomorrow to work in the medical clinic. May we be the healing hands of Jesus tomorrow. Please pray for continued good health and for those that get car sick to feel better. Bless our trip, Bless the families that we are ministering to, and the staff at Paradise Bound Ministry (PBM).

Ephesians 1: 22-23
22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Blessings and Thank you!
